Breakfast for Champions

The Breakfast For Champions (BFC) is dedicated to recognizing and promoting commitment to the ideals of scholarship, leadership and service among Nebraska’s youth. The event will be held Friday, May 16th, 2008 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, to recognize outstanding 8th grade student leaders from across the state for their gold-medal efforts in school and community. 2008 marks the sixth year that the Home Educators Network (HEN) has sent an eighth grade representative to the Breakfast for Champions. Two 8th graders will be selected to represent HEN at the Breakfast For Champions. Applicants will be evaluated by an independent judge who will select the honoree to represent HEN. All Breakfast for Champions honorees will become eligible to receive the BFC Scholarship if they choose to attend U.N.L. upon high school graduation. The deadline for application is Friday, February 22.
